Executive Director

Since 2020, SBTC is led by Executive Director LaToya Faustin who initially served as the organization’s COO. Her career began in education through Teach for America, which birthed a desire to advocate for community and economic development. She earned a BA in Corporate Communications and Spanish and an MBA from Elon University.

Ms. Faustin is the founding Executive Director of The Park Community Development Corporation; and launched Stay Ready Consulting Solutions, LLC a consulting firm supporting small businesses and nonprofits. She has Chaired the Neighborhood Revitalization Committee of Habitat for Humanity, been a Board Member for the Charlotte Regional Business Alliance - Central Chapter, and been involved in West End Revitalization efforts with the City of Charlotte's Economic Development team.She is currently a Board Member of Charlotte Mecklenburg Food Policy Council, the Economic Development Committee for Charlotte East and the Alumni Board for Elon University.
