National Director Multi-Family
Joined the Marine Corp in 1994, was stationed in London England for 2 years, spent 6 months at sea as part of the 22nd MEU (Marine Expeditionary Unit) that conducted operations in Central Africa before heading to the Mediterranean Sea and southern Europe/Northern Africa.
After Marine Corp I applied at 84 Lumber and have been here ever since as the 3rd job I have had in my life! I started at 84 on my birthday in 1998 in Buffalo NY. Was promoted to store manager relatively quickly in that market. Was promoted to Area Manager of that region then became an Area Manager for 84 Components our manufacturing arm so to speak. Was promoted to support the Gulf Coast reconstruction efforts after Hurricane Katrina devastated the area. Was promoted to Region Vice President of the Western Region prior to the Great Recession. Market conditions forced 84 to close quite a few locations over that time. I consolidated back East to Buffalo as the Area Manager again while the company reset. I was tasked shortly after to create and grow an Installation Program in what 84 Lumber considered the Northeast (NY, E.PA, Maryland, NOVA, NJ, Delaware, Mass). My wife became ill and I had to focus on family and took a position close to home so I could care for her until she got back on here feet. I ran a store location for a couple years before once again being the Area Manager of the market. Soon thereafter I was promoted to my current role as the National Director Of Multi-Family where I employ 17 teams (and growing) of Multi-Family professionals from both inside and outside 84 Lumber to grow our footprint across the country in the Multi-Family space.
