At NEDC we are a team of approximately twenty.

We are an award-winning team of creative architects, interior designers and artisan builders with a passion for creativity and a return of the architect to the true role of master builder. Sustainability and a love for this Earth are woven in the ethos of our company, our mission and the spaces we create. We observe, innovate and push the boundaries of sustainable luxury design.

Our clients are Boston’s preeminent thought leaders – at the top of their fields in Business, Medicine, Finance, Education, the Arts and a variety of professional Sports. We design and craft homes for those changing the world.

As a Boston-based boutique creative studio we usher projects from their earliest conception in our clients’ minds through full architectural planning, interior design and artisan build. This is followed by a three-year warranty on our work. It is a full-service white glove process from concept to completion.

Throughout history, an architect was known as the master builder. This revered and time-honored role has been the impetus behind the creation of every magnificent structure across the ages—from the cathedral of Notre Dame to the majesty of the Acropolis in Athens. From the Colosseum in Rome to the grandeur of the Eiffel Tower overlooking Paris. Architecture is a mother of arts—encompassing design, structure, color, aesthetics, light and form. Architecture has the power to uplift and inspire: to protect and to bring freedom.

New England Design & Construction (NEDC) is an award-winning, full-service creative Architectural Design Build firm dedicated to the legacy of the Architect as Master Builder. The firm is headed by David Supple (CEO and Founder), an alumnus of Tufts University, former standout Lacrosse player, father of two little ones and passionate advocate of the client benefits of full-service Design Build and the true role of the Architect throughout history as Master Builder.

Lifting Spirits with Spaces is NEDC’s motto and they focus heavily on creative sustainable design--now mid design of a beautiful and fully custom passive home in Somerville. David has been directly involved in over 100,000 square feet of renovation projects over the years in Cambridge, Wellesley, Back Bay, Brookline, Chestnut Hill, Somerville, Weston, Natick, Newton, Waltham, Westwood, Wayland, Boston’s Metro-West and throughout the GBA. These projects have been featured in local media, including Remodeling Magazine, Boston Voyager, Modern Luxury Boston Common, Modern Luxury Interiors and The Boston Globe. David and NEDC’s recent caring community work during Covid has been featured on NBC10, NECN and Boston25. NEDC was additionally recently awarded a Guild Quality with Distinction award as well as Best of Boston 2022 by Boston Magazine and Top 50 Interior Design by Modern Luxury Boston Common.

David’s mother’s family immigrated from Puerto Rico to NYC, and David has built NEDC from scratch to a valuable, multi-million dollar creative firm over the past 17 years.

“Design Build and the return of the Architect to his original role as Master Builder are subjects I've grown passionate about over the past two decades. I graduated from Tufts with a degree in Architecture and unfortunately found years of academic theory to be woefully inadequate when confronted with real life. To address this imbalance, I took a job as a carpenter to teach myself to actually BUILD.

I'm now extremely proud of the team I've built over the past two decades--true professionals in architectural design, planning and construction and just sincere, caring people. We do it all for our clients in one Design Build package--the way the Masters did it for thousands of years, crafting spaces for those moving and changing the world.” - David Supple, CEO NEDC - Boston

David and NEDC do ample pro-bono work in the Boston community, from delivering educational design build kits to families with children during Covid, to designing and installing a ‘Sanitization Station’ for a Doctor at Mass General to protect her husband and three small children. David and NEDC reached out recently and helped rebuild Urban Grape and Dartmouth vision--two Black-owned businesses in Boston that had sustained damage.
