Director of Construction and Founder
Andrew graduated from the University of Saskatchewan with a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering Degree in 2000. He spent seven years working in the Alberta Petrochemical Industry for Nova Chemicals Ltd. and worked in the Project, Maintenance and Process Engineering roles. Throughout that period he worked across the organization to put engineering and project management standards in place and integrated the business processes that were affected with the improvements.
In 2007 he relocated back to Saskatchewan to work with general contractor EllisDon on a Joint Venture Ethanol Plant as a Project Manager. He worked on large equipment procurements, trade contracts and oversaw the logistics to deliver major systems to the plant site.
In 2008 he made the transition into health care construction as the Director of Capital Projects and Construction for the Saskatoon Health Region. He spent the majority of his time leading large capital projects, improving procurement and project governance frameworks and has helped set the groundwork for a Project Management Office, assessing risks for large projects and leveraging his previous experience with large complex projects. Between the years of 2007 and 2012, Andrew led over $90 million dollars in projects through the design and construction processes.
Andrew is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and Lean Six Sigma Black Belt. Andrew also worked provincially with the Ministry of Health on capital project standardization, milestone approvals and value stream mapping of the provincial process. He played a role in the Provincial Lean System rollout.
In 2010 Andrew felt the entaprenural call and he and his business partner Jilaire Wagner established Maison Design + Build. Andrew has led over ninety residential and commercial projects ranging in value from $600,000 to $10,000,000.
